Environmental sustainability

Our commitment to innovation is reflected in an ongoing search for sustainable technological solutions.
Every initiative, whether big or small, contributes to a broader goal.

Here are some tangible examples of our initiatives:

  • Energy Savings: We implement strategies to reduce energy consumption.

  • Renewable Sources: We are committed to using energy exclusively from renewable sources.

  • Ecological Vehicles: We support the use of Electric or Hybrid Vehicles through the installation of charging stations.

  • Digitization: We replace the use of paper with computer-based solutions in all possible applications, both internally and externally.
  • Eco-friendly Processes: We explore new production processes oriented towards eco-sustainability.
  • Responsible Chemicals: Where possible, we select chemicals with a low environmental impact.

Project “Energy Efficiency” 2022-2023

This project took place at our headquarters and included:

  • Compressed Air Optimization: Replacement of the compressor and dehumidifier with high-efficiency units and the renewal of the distribution system to eliminate consumption due to leaks.
  • Lighting Improvement: Replacement of neon tubes with LED tubes for more efficient lighting.
  • Photovoltaic Energy: Doubling the capacity of our photovoltaic system.

The main objective of this project is to significantly reduce the environmental impact of our headquarters by lowering energy consumption and increasing the production of clean energy.

Thanks to these improvements, we have reduced annual energy consumption by 32.3%, equivalent to 4.08 TOE (Tons of Oil Equivalent).

The expansion of the photovoltaic system will soon allow us to produce at least as much as we consume, providing an annual environmental benefit of 22 TOE through the production of clean energy.

ITACOIL uses renewable and Zero Impact® energy

When our photovoltaic system cannot fully meet our energy needs, we make sure to purchase exclusively electric power from low-impact renewable sources.

This commitment is supported by the Renewable Energy Certificate System (RECS) of the European Union, which certifies the origin of renewable sources, ensuring that they do not have a negative impact on the environment.
